Awareness Talk on the Threat of Cybercrime “Scammers”
On 26th October 2024 at 8 am, we proudly invited police officers to deliver a talk on the topic of cyber scammers, a growing issue that we frequently encounter.
The officers present were ASP Mohamed Hanafiah Bin Mohamed Nawi, Senior Investigating Officer, and Mr. Lum Gah Fook.
ASP Hanafiah provided valuable insights into the various types of cyber scammers, their methods of operation, and practical strategies to protect ourselves. Our staff gained a clearer understanding of scammers’ tricks, making them more alert to suspicious calls, messages, and emails.
Additionally, ASP Hanafiah advised us to remain cautious, avoid greed, and think rationally when facing potential scams. He also shared details on where to report such incidents.
Overall, it was a highly fruitful and informative session.
